SEGA planning Shenmue 3? Never say never

On CVG’s Debate Article, one user commented about how he’d be willing to give up his soul for a Shenmue 3 and it just so happened that SEGA’s West president, Mike Hayes, was watching. Despite how doubtful it is that SEGA would be working on Shenmue 3 when important titles like Sonic Free Riders is being developed, Hayes let gamers know that perhaps you should “never say never.”

Fortunately, Never Say Never isn’t just Justin Bieber’s upcoming movie title, it’s also a great way to give gaming fans that last straw of hope in regards to a beloved franchise with a cult following.

“While at present we have no plans for the franchise [on next-gen consoles], the response to CVG’s question has certainly shown the Shenmue legacy ignites a lot of passion among fans. Never say never…”

Does that mean there is light at the end of the title? Maybe. Chances are though, you’re going to die holding your breath before it happens. Tread lightly!
