It seems like the year is filled with an endless amount of gaming conventions one after the other. While it used to only be the big two that people cared about (E3/Tokyo Game Show), it’s now turned into a multitude of events that major players in the industry prepare exclusive content for just to appease the members of the audience.
This year, Gamescom is set to take place during the days of August 18th through 22nd. Today, Sony has announced that its press event and conference is scheduled for August 17th in Cologne and will include previews of the following titles:
- Killzone 3
- Gran Turismo 5
- inFamous 2
- LittleBigPlanet 2
- DC Universe Online
- Journey
- Motorstorm: Apocalypse
- Sorcery
Are you excited for this or is this just another minor convention on the way to Japan for you?
I don’t really care about Journey or Sorcery and wish they would just show Final Fantasy Versus XIII or The Last Guardian. Maybe Twisted Metal.

It was pretty interesting imo. Looks like a day 1 buy.
I wanna see KZ3 MP, more DCU Online gameplay, the “newer” Cole in Infamous 2, and thats it.
