Today, Sony announced that retailers are officially beginning to receive shipments of a standalone PlayStation 3 console featuring a 320GB HDD. Back in August, Sony unveiled a 320GB PlayStation 3, but that was bundled with a PlayStation Move Starter Kit and retailed for $399.99.

Sony has released information on pricing and has listed the 320GB model for $349.99. This makes it just $50 more than the 160GB PlayStation 3 which sells for $299.99. Considering you’re doubling your HDD space for a fraction of the cost, it definitely makes sense to pick up the 320GB HDD if you’re looking for a PlayStation 3 any time soon.

However, considering the PlayStation Move Starter Kit is $99.99 as a standalone, it almost makes too good of sense to pay the extra $50 for the 320GB Bundle with the Move Kit already inside. Regardless of which way you go, Sony has set it up so each console is a bargain for what you’re getting!
