Sony to announce a new 3D God of War title at E3

According to Forbes, Sony is expected to unveil a new God of War title during its E3 press conference tonight. The report states that it will be a new “3D adventure,” however it is unknown if the new title will be developed by SCEA Santa Monica or the Ghost of Sparta developer Ready at Dawn.

Last month, rumors circulated that Santa Monica was preparing a new God of War title for 2012, with the additions of multiplayer coming to the series as the developer had job listings for senior online programmers. For fans of the PSP God of War titles, Sony is planning on remastering God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta for the PlayStation 3, bundling the two titles as an HD collection for PS3 gamers in July.

Stay tuned for more information as the Sony E3 press conference begins tonight at 5:00pm EST.
