PS5 owners have a brand-new game to play today, following its arrival among PlayStation Plus surprises. Originally launched a year ago, the dating sim was developed by Sassy Chap Games and published by Team17.

Date Everything! is available in the US and UK today for PS Plus Extra subscribers. It’s a sandbox dating simulator where players can date literally any object inside their home.

Since its 2025 release on multiple platforms, Date Everything! has managed to receive mostly positive reactions. Currently, it holds a solid Critic Average of 80 out of 100 on OpenCritic.

Additionally, the game has also received a phenomenal global player rating of 4.6 out of 5 from PlayStation users, according to its official PS Store page.

What makes Date Everything! different from other dating sims

Date Everything! brings an exciting new twist to the dating simulator genre. Its premise allows players to use magical glasses and turn every object into a dateable character, making their in-game home come alive.

An official description for the PS5 title reads, “Your BFA in customer service unfortunately goes to waste as you lose your job to AI. But… a mysterious stranger sends a gift – magical glasses called Dateviators.”

Date Everything! packs a unique punch of 100 fully voiced household objects that can become players’ lovers, friends, or even enemies. Various renowned voice actors have provided their talent. Some of them include Felicia Day as Skylar Specs, Anne Yatco as Florence, Ray Chase as Wallace, Julia McIlvaine as Celia Stipple, Davied Morales as Curt, and Ben Starr as Dorian, among others.

What makes the overall experience immersive is the fact that Date Everything! has branching narratives. Each dateable character has at least three endings. This means the story can end up in the most unexpected fashion instead of being predictable.

There are also over 70,000 voice lines in the game, making for an extremely interactive dating experience. The aesthetics also get pleasing with more than 11,000 hand-drawn images.
