Ahead of GTA 6, fans have a fun PlayStation treat waiting for them at just $9.99. Until Rockstar Games finally allows fans to get their mitts on GTA VI, the PlayStation Store offers one title that fans can use to keep themselves occupied for quite some time.
For a limited time, Grand Theft Auto Online is available for $9.99, normally $19.99. As anticipation for GTA 6 mounts, fans can engage in some hands-on play with GTA Online.
What GTA Online offers while fans wait for GTA 6
GTA Online, per Rockstar Games‘ official website, is described as a “dynamic and ever-evolving online universe for up to 30 players, including all existing gameplay upgrades and content released since launch, ready to enjoy solo or with friends.”
Most recently, GTA Online held its “Business Rivalries” Event, which invited players to focus on the financial side of their criminal empires, build their businesses, and earn money through various in-game revenue channels.
The Online version of the game also offers a custom level designer, called the Rockstar Mission Creator. Here, players cannot only make their own levels but also compete in missions designed by other players. Further, the game offers a Career Progress tracker that helps players track their achievements.
GTA 6 is currently one of the most anticipated video game releases of 2026. The game has been a long time coming, surviving multiple attempted leaks and a long marketing cycle that has released parts of the game through preview sneak peeks and even a presentation streamed on Netflix.
GTA 6 is set to be released on November 19, 2026. However, the game’s first release date was the overtly optimistic 2025 launch. This was pushed to May 2026, with November 2026 as the latest date settled on. The game has already released a lot of footage that has received rave reviews from fans. However, actual gameplay remains to be tested following the game’s wider launch.
