PS5 players can try a brand-new RPG for free via the PS Store. Developed by Emeteria, Fading Echo is a unique experience in which we play as a “young Legend” on a floating island who is fighting to secure her future while discovering her past.

Fading Echo is a ‘fast-paced elemental action-adventure RPG’ for PS5

Fading Echo’s PS Store demo is live now for all players, and a PS Plus subscription isn’t required to play.

Emeteria describes Fading Echo as a “fast-paced elemental action-adventure RPG.”

“In Fading Echo, you play as One, a young Legend fighting to save Corel, a fractured world being consumed by a mysterious force known as the Paradox,” the studio wrote on the PS Blog. “To survive, you’ll experiment with One’s powers, manipulate the elements around you, and shift between realities to find new ways through combat, exploration, and puzzles.”

Players can weaponize water and exploit elements like lava and toxic waste during their adventures.

Fading Echo costs $19.99 on the PS Store. Early response from players is positive overall, although Steam users have given the game a higher rating than PS5 players.

PS Plus Premium members can cloud stream the title.
