A popular 2023 PS5 and PS4 game is shutting down, making several of its trophies unobtainable. Developed and published by Electronic Arts, Madden NFL 24 will go offline in Q2 2027, so players have until then to unlock the game’s online trophies.

Madden NFL 24 PS5, PS4 servers shutting down in April 2027

Madden NFL 24 servers will be shut down on April 26, 2027. In preparation, Madden Points will be disabled on October 26, 2026. Any Points you already have can be spent until the servers go dark.

Offline modes will not be affected.

“Thank you for your loyalty and passion for Madden NFL over the years,” EA wrote.

Despite a mediocre Metacritic score of 65/100 (PS5), Madden NFL 24 sold millions of copies, which we’ve come to expect from virtually all annual sports franchises.

“More realistic character movement and smarter AI gives you control to play out your gameplay strategy with the confidence to dominate any opponent in Madden NFL 24,” an official description reads. “SAPIEN technology provides a leap forward in character technology introduces new anatomically accurate NFL player skeletons that are more responsive and true-to-life player motion.”

Madden NFL 24 has already been delisted from the PS Store.
