Open-world action game enthusiasts are in luck. 2K Games has discounted one of its acclaimed titles on the PlayStation Store. Mafia: Definitive Edition is now available at 85% off.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is available for $5.99 on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. However, it’s a limited-time offer that ends October 22. Once the deal ends, the game will revert to its original retail price of $39.99.

Originally released in 2020 for PS4, it’s a remake of the hit 2002 release, Mafia. Published by 2K, the remake was brought to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in August 2026, adding technical improvements for current-gen consoles.

What to expect from Mafia: Definitive Edition on PS5

The PS5 version features 60 FPS gameplay. This provides a smoother experience as players explore Lost Heaven, a fictional American city set during the 1930s. The story follows Tommy Angelo, a cab driver whose unexpected encounter with the Italian Mafia changes his life.

“Lost Heaven, 1930. Rise through the ranks of the Mafia during the Prohibition era,” an official overview reads. “After an inadvertent brush with the mob, Tommy Angelo is reluctantly thrust into the world of organized crime. Initially uneasy about falling in with the Salieri family, the rewards become too big to ignore.”

The remake rebuilds the original title in several ways. Developer Hangar 13 expanded the original story while adding new features like drivable motorcycles and hidden collectibles. Players can explore the open-world game in Free Ride mode, which also includes side missions.

At $5.99, the sale is an inexpensive way to play one of 2K’s best-known stories on PS5. The deal is now live on the PS Store. Mafia: Definitive Edition currently holds an average rating of 4.43 based on 36,000 reviews.
