A 2010 Sega PS3 RPG has received a surprise PS5 and PC remaster, and it’s out now on the PlayStation Store. Resonance of Fate already has a 4K/HD Edition for the PS4. Considering the original’s reception, we weren’t expecting a third outing for the title.
2010 RPG Resonance of Fate gets PS5 console exclusive remaster
Although Resonance of Fate launched on Xbox 360, like the 4K/HD Edition, the current-gen remaster is PS5 console exclusive. Titled Resonance of Fate Enhanced Remaster, the RPG costs $34.99 on the PS Store.
There’s no free upgrade offer for those who already own the 4K/HD Edition on the PS4. However, they are entitled to a discount and can purchase the remaster for just $9.99.
“This Enhanced Remaster further expands the graphics options, including native 4K output and HDR support,” developer tri-Ace wrote. “Traverse this haunted world while getting involved in numerous gun fights, now in even higher-quality, higher-resolution visuals.”
Resonance of Fate features a steampunk aesthetic.
“In the far distant future, humanity clings to existence on a ravaged earth on the brink of collapse,” the plot reads. “Their only hope for survival lies in ‘Basel’, a huge machine that controls the environment. The story beings as the gears continue to spin, humanity is led by a ruling class, which the heroes support as mercenaries.”
