A beloved trio of action RPGs from the PlayStation 2 era is coming to the PS5. Square Enix announced the news today as part of a surprising new batch of news.
Kingdom Hearts 1-3 Collection arriving on the PS5 later this year
During Nintendo’s Direct, Square Enix surprised fans by appearing and announcing a brand new Kingdom Hearts Collection. The new collection will present fans with a streamlined, all-in-one bundle of the first three Kingdom Hearts games, all available natively on current-generation consoles.
The new collection will include Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III plus its Re Mind DLC, and will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC beginning on October 8, 2026.
The collection will also include a litany of other content in the new games. These include a ton of content from other spin-off titles in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. The full list of inclusions in the upcoming collection are:

- KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (Digital only)
- KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD
- KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover (movie)
- KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth By Sleep
- KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC) (Digital only)
- KINGDOM HEARTS III
- KINGDOM HEARTS Re Mind (DLC)
- KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] (Physical and Digital)

Players who purchase the games on specific platforms will also be able to receive special, platform-exclusive items, including:
