BioWare set to release Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition

It would appear lately that the newest trend in gaming isn’t just to include a Collector’s Edition with every new big release, but to also create an “Ultimate Edition” or “Game of the Year” edition as well. With Naughty Dog announcing the Uncharted 2 Game of the Year edition earlier this week, BioWare is continuing the trend with the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age: Origins.

As expected, the Ultimate Edition will include the full blown expansion entitled, “Awakening,” and every piece of downloadable content available to date which includes: The Stone Prisoner, Warden’s Keep, Return to Ostagar, The Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana’s Song, The Golems of Amgarrak, Witch Hunt, Feastday Gifts and Feastday Pranks.

While the total value is an estimated $115 or so, BioWare plans on releasing this edition to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners for a mere $49.99. As a whole, this is an excellent deal and anyone who hasn’t jumped into this game as of yet, should probably take advantage of this opportunity.
