The dark survival horror PS5 game’s upcoming DLC has a PlayStation Store launch date. Developed and published by Bloober Team, the third-person, single-player title was originally released last year.
Cronos: Lazarus, the story expansion for sci-fi game Cronos: The New Dawn, will officially be released for PlayStation 5 on December 3, 2026. The paid DLC will also be available on other platforms, including PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Bloober Team recently revealed the story trailer for Cronos: Lazarus. The brutal new chapter packs a haunting experience for players already familiar with the survival horror.
What to expect from Cronos: Lazarus on PS5?
Cronos: Lazarus’ story takes place a few years before The New Dawn. According to an official description for the expansion, it will explore “the backstory of the Pathfinder and his rebellion against the Collective. The gameplay will explore new abilities, weapons and a backstory or the most mysterious character in the Cronos universe.”
The PS5 DLC will let players take on the role of one of the Collective’s elite agents. They will witness their brutal transformation from Pathfinder to Warden. The overall experience will present a faster, more aggressive take on Cronos’ survival horror formula. This time, the combat will feel faster with added pressure and constant danger.
Players will also get to use amazing new weapons and abilities. They are unique to the Warden, including decoys that allow quick movement to avert danger. In the new story expansion, players will go against the Tracker, a powerful and persistent new threat whose sole purpose is to hunt down and eliminate elite agents.
The upcoming DLC mainly focuses on uncovering a darker, more personal story. It’s based on one of Cronos’ most intriguing characters, filled with rebellion, inner conflict, and the cost of defying the Collective.
The Cronos: Lazarus DLC will be available for $9.99 on the PlayStation Store.
