Grand Theft Auto icons share their best advice for Jason and Lucia ahead of GTA 6. The anticipated open-world title is developed and published by Rockstar Games.
During a media interaction with All Out Gaming at MCM Comic Con, voice actors Ned Luke, Shawn Fonteno, Steven Ogg, and Young Maylay revealed their honest thoughts on the two actors playing GTA 6 protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
Luke, Fonteno, and Ogg played GTA 5’s iconic trio Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. Maylay is known for voicing Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson in San Andreas. They were asked to advise the awaited game’s leading actors. “Have fun,” said Luke. Maylay told them to simply “get ready.” Meanwhile, Fonteno told them to “just listen to Rockstar,” adding that the developer will lead the actors in the right direction.
The GTA veterans also shared what Jason and Lucia’s actors should expect after launch
Shawn Fonteno also said that, following GTA 6’s launch, the actors will be on “a ride that they’re going to be on for a while.” Maylay, however, issued a slight warning for Jason and Lucia actors. He revealed that the spotlight after the release could follow them for years.
He said, “My game was 20 years ago. So when [GTA] 6 comes out, you guys will be in my position. We’ll always be the characters that we are.” This means fans may remember Grand Theft Auto VI’s voice actors as the fictional characters for a long time if they deliver a stunning performance. Maylay added, “You’re going to grow with your fanbase.”
Rockstar’s awaited open-world game will feature Jason and Lucia inside the massive fictional world of Leonida. It will have the biggest map in franchise history. Besides the main quest, players will also get multiple options to engage in exciting side activities, including base jumping, kayaking, scuba diving, airboating, and more.
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
