Dead Nation debut gameplay trailer

Sony Computer Entertainment has released the debut trailer for Dead Nation which displays the games great visuals and gameplay elements. Unfortunately for Sony, the game is about a year late to the PlayStation Store as titles like Burn Zombie Burn and Zombie Apocalypse have already offered the exact same kind of experience.

However, the one saving grace for the developers behind this downloadable game may just be the fact that it looks as great as it does. This could easily win an award for one of the best looking downloadable titles for the PlayStation Store. Not to mention the co-op experience should be a blast.

Check it out below.

Dead Nation still seems to offer enough to buy it, despite being beaten by 2 other zombie games. Burn Zombie Burn wasn’t that great I thought. Fun game but short lasting appeal for me personally. The online co-op alone in Dead Nation will be enough to make this one feel fresh. Can’t wait for it to come out, hopefully shortly after E3.

  2. Looks good! Reminds me of a topdown Left 4 Dead! Like to have more gameplay in the trailer though.
Sorry Sony but no demo = no buy. That’s what I like about XBLA, you get a demo for every Arcade game released. Dave, do you know if this is something Microsoft insists upon and Sony does not?

  3. Most of this trailer reminds me of the thriller video.

  4. Great, another top down zombie shooter.

  5. Daevv,

I think it has more to do with the fact that Sony charges studios for how much content is downloaded through their server (I’m not 100% sure, but I think I read that anyways). Where as, I believe Microsoft just has a “set price.”

So because of the extra charges, it’s harder for studios to release demos on PSN…I think that’s why anyways…I’m not 100% sure.

  6. That actually look really cool. The co-op makes it look even better. Might pick this one up if it is a good price.

  7. Game looks pretty sick.

  8. Thanks Dave for the answer.

  10. Yeah, developers pay for the badnwidth used on PSN whereas players pay a fee for the live service on the xbox that covers the costs of bandwidth.

That’s why not all games on psn have a demo.

By the way, I didn’t like burn zombie burn. I thought that it was fun at first, but it ran out of fun really quickly.

Dead Nation seems like more of the same.
