EA Sports announces Fight Night Champion

In unsurprising fashion, EA Sports has announced the sequel to Fight Night Round 4 titled Fight Night Champion. Despite its predecessor selling poorly in comparison to UFC Undisputed 2009, the Fight Night franchise lives on and according to EA is going to change the game entirely.

“Fight Night Champion will break the mold of what is expected in a single-player sports game. Players will be introduced to an entirely new way to step between the ropes and experience the drama, emotion, excitement and tragedy of world championship boxing.”

While this sounds absolutely fantastic, it just so happens that it always does. However, some things are easier said than done and until EA is willing to let the PR flow for this game, we’ll just have to take tease hints about it until we can’t anymore.

Brian Hayes, Gameplay Producer on Fight Night Champion said, “It’s something people won’t expect from an EA Sports game.”

I hope he’s right as Fight Night is one of my favorite franchises that EA releases.
