Bethesda has been sending out its press release today detailing the upcoming release of Fallout: New Vegas. Despite already releasing a teaser trailer for the game, which can be seen here, they’ve also revealed a window of release for the title as well.
Considering how well Fallout 3 sold and the various Game of the Year awards it received, it doesn’t surprise me that Bethesda is going to continue to push the Fallout brand to the masses. Despite the entire idea and philosophy of the Fallout franchise, I’m hoping they had a co-op element to New Vegas just to spice it up a bit. If not, it may start to get stale like the Grand Theft Auto series did with 4.
Anyway, the release target is for the Fall of 2010, which is a lot sooner than we expected. Here is an excerpt from the press release.
Fallout: New Vegas, the follow-up to Fallout® 3 – the 2008 Game of the Year – brings this beloved franchise to a location only Fallout could do justice: Vegas. Fallout: New Vegas takes all the action, humor, and post-apocalyptic grime and grit of this legendary series, and raises the stakes.
How many of you are excited for this bad boy?
MOST ANTICIPATED GAME OF 2010! I dreaded a 2011 release date, but that teaser got me super-hyped and now that I know it’s Fall 2010, I’m even more excited.
As sad as it is, this news (and the trailer) made my day.
The trailer made me crazy for the wait.
Good news to hear that Fallout: New Vegas will be coming out this year in the fall. This is a highly hyped game and I hope that the game turns out to be good.
