PlayStation 5 players will receive free upgrades for two popular PS4 horror games. The beloved titles come from the Stormind team.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers and Remothered: Broken Porcelain are set to return with remastered versions, and PS5 owners have received the biggest update ahead of their launch.

Revealing a brand new trailer, Stormind confirmed that players who own the original copies of Tormented Fathers or Broken Porcelain can upgrade to the new Remastered editions at no extra cost.

Notably, the free upgrade offer will be available for the first 7 days after launch in Q1 2027. Full details on how to claim the upgrade and its availability across platforms will be shared closer to release.

What to expect from Remothered remastered versions?

Compared to their original editions, Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered will offer enhanced environments and atmosphere, delivering a more chilling, scary experience.

Despite improved gameplay and stunning visuals, the remastered editions will still preserve the identity, atmosphere, and psychological horror elements of the Remothered franchise. It kicked off in 2018 with Tormented Fathers and continued in 2020 with Broken Porcelain.

On PS5, the remastered games will deliver a new level of visual fidelity and immersion, thanks to Unreal Engine 5. Plus, the legacy bugs will be resolved.

Before PS5 players get into the polished titles, they will witness the arrival of a third main installment in the franchise, Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy.

The final chapter in the trilogy will see players taking on a character whose daughter gets kidnapped. An official description for the game reads, “Enter a nightmare to save her, survive what hunts you, and uncover the Red Nun’s truth through retrocognition, mirror abilities, and moth manipulation. A modern return to classic survival horror with an Italian neo-giallo twist.”

Red Nun’s Legacy comes out on October 27, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
