Ni no Kuni hasn’t met sales expectations in Japan, it seems.
Developed collaboratively by Level-5 and animation firm Studio Ghibli, the PlayStation 3 RPG launched last week and, as Adriasang reports, sold just 40% of its retail stock – around 65,000 units – according to Media Create. Surprising, considering the amount of hype surrounding the game ahead of launch.
The game will launch under the title Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in North America and across Europe sometime early next year, courtesy of Namco Bandai.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 topped the Media Create software charts with 179,000 units sold.

Damn man, I thought this one would be selling like hotcakes. I know I want it.
