One of the main complaints in regards to Killzone 2 upon release was the clunky control scheme that played out due to the added weight of the guns and body movement animations. So, for Killzone 3, the developers had to find a way to change the control scheme around without losing any of the luster given through the weighty feel of the game itself. After all, this weight gives a sense of immersion into the world of Helghan and makes you feel like you’re truly carrying around a heavy piece of weaponry.
Today, the developers behind Killzone 3, Guerilla Games, have released a developer diary discussing the new controls. If you’re not interested in this, I suggest you check it out for the gameplay videos alone as they’re pretty bad ass.
