Last week, Hideo Kojima promised a big announcement to gamers on Wednesday, that announcement ended up being that Monster Hunter creatures would appear in the upcoming PlayStation Portable exclusive, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. While this didn’t disappoint many, it did disappoint those who were looking forward to something new from the developer in the form of Zone of Enders 3.
However, earlier today, Kojima tweeted — which happens to be the new way to announce things — that he was already hard at work inside his head on the development of his next title.
“I’m thinking about the casting for my next title. The project plan still hasn’t reached a detailed level, but everything is advancing simultaneously in my head. Title, game design, story, characters, setting research, the mecha that appear, casting, graphic direction, sound, beginning and ending, the major story sequences. It comes together naturally in my head.”
I’ve bolded the blatantly obvious key word of his entire Tweet for you guys and it’s easy to see how this could lead a lot of people to believe Zone of Enders 3 is finally on its way. Hopefully we can expect an announcement of some sort at E3 or potentially at TGS this year.
I would rather he did this than another MGS game. Give MGS a break and do something the fans would love. I think Hideo may just be playing on words as he is good at getting in your head.
If this is true, hail Kojima. ZoE2 was the most fluid and fast-paced mech game I’ve ever played. The fight with 1000’s of mechs all at once was great. The speed of the ZoE series put any other mech game to shame, I would be so happy if they made a third =O

@taus90: indeed, that battle was EPIC…and it was on a PS2 without too much lag at all! ZoE2 was totally epic, it was just that the VA was terrible and….Dingo Egret…..wtf kind of name is that lol
but yes….i remember Kojima saying before that he was wanting to make the next ZoE about Anubis……omg…….he MUST bring back that massive battle….but even more hardcore!

Hope ZoE3 is gonna make it,and I hope it’s gonna be PS3 exclusive too,I don’t want Xbox 360 to get in the way,Tekken 6 and others suffer enough…
