Medal of Honor dated with new trailer

EA has finally announced the release date of their modern warfare based Medal of Honor. Placing the game just one month before Treyarch’s Call of Duty Black Ops, EA hopes to steal steam from Activision.

The latest Medal of Honor leaves behind its previous World War II setting, taking inspiration from Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare games to place itself within present day Afghanistan. The game’s single-player is developed in-house at EA, with the PlayStation 3 as the game’s lead platform, its multiplayer gains the experience of Battlefield creators DICE.

“Medal of Honor is an authentic look into today’s war. Inspired by real people and real events, the game puts players in the boots of today’s warrior — from the infantry ground pounder to the Tier 1 Operator,” said Greg Goodrich, executive producer of the game. “We are proud of this piece because it offers a glimpse into the game we’re creating, while also showing the mindset of these warriors.”

As for the release date, Medal of Honor will be out for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 12 in North American and October 15 accross Europe. Enjoy the game’s latest trailer below and tell us whether you’re tempted to bite in the comments section.
