Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the PS Plus Essential October 2026 monthly free games lineup. There isn’t much on offer for last-gen players, but there are a few extra goodies all subscribers can grab.

The following games will be free for all PS Plus subscribers starting Tuesday, October 6:
- F1 25 (PS5)
- Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5)
- Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5, PS4)

F1 2025

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2
The square Earth is under attack by giant enemies. Teammates scattered around the world are waiting to be rescued. Select 4 teammates from among those you have collected and create your own team. Design the team perfect for your play style, select your equipment, and then deploy to battle.
As for the extra goodies, all subscribers can claim the following Halloween-themes packs: Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle (available October 1), Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack (available October 6), and the Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier skips Pack (October 7).
Finally, starting October 6, Spider-Man Brand New Day Avatars will be available via Sony Pictures Core to PS Plus members for a limited time at no additional cost.
