PS Plus Essential July 2026 monthly free games have begun rolling out, starting with Japan and Asia, where it’s Tuesday, July 7. Unlike the Extra and Premium catalogs, Essential games aren’t staggered by region, so players around the globe will be able to access the lineup on the same date at noon local time, when the PS Store updates.

This month, PS Plus subscribers can claim Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (PS5, PS4), For the King II (PS5, PS4), and CrossCode (PS5, PS4).

This is your last chance to claim June’s monthly games if you haven’t already. The lineup includes: Grounded Fully Yoked Edition (PS5), Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 (PS5, PS4), and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (PS5).

This month’s PS Plus announcement has been overshadowed by the backlash Sony is currently receiving over its decision to end disc production for PS5 games. As the gaming community attempts to process the news, Sony is being clowned by corporations on social media. Meanwhile, politicians are discussing the implications of this move.

To top it off, there’s indication that Sony will soon revise the price of PS Plus subscription yet again to increase revenue from the service.

Unfortunately, we’re struggling to recommend any PS Plus tier at its current price, let alone at a higher price tag.
