A fan-favorite action role-playing game’s PlayStation 5 remaster is now available on the PlayStation Store. The enhanced version is developed by TOSE and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Tales of Eternia Remastered has finally arrived for PS5, alongside PS4, via the PS Store. The latest release brings numerous visual and gameplay improvements for the beloved RPG. It originally came out on PlayStation consoles over two decades ago.
Now, it’s available for a modern generation of players who want to revisit the story. The remaster has already earned positive feedback among PlayStation owners. It currently holds an impressive Global Player Rating of 4.78 out of 5.
What to expect from Tales of Eternia Remastered on PS5
Tales of Eternia Remastered focuses on an epic journey of saving two worlds. The story is split into two realms: Inferia and Celestia. The plot sees Reid Hershel and his childhood friend Farah Oersted encountering a mysterious girl named Meredy in the Inferian village of Rasheans.
An official description for the PS5 RPG reads, “During their journey to discover Meredy’s origins, the group discovers that a collision called the ‘Great Fall’ threatens both Inferia and Celesita.
Harnessing the power of elemental spirits known as the Greater Craymels, Reid and his companions embark on an epic journey to save the two realms from catastrophe.”
What makes Tales of Eternia’s gameplay unique is the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System (A-LMBS). It allows players to have diverse Arte usage, continued combos, and coordination with each unique party member. During combat, they can easily outmaneuver enemies and defeat them with a fast-paced, dynamic 2D battle action.
The remaster makes the overall experience even better and smoother thanks to quality-of-life features. They include destination markers, an option to disable enemy encounters, and high-speed mode during auto-battle. The visuals are also enhanced with the additional option to toggle between modern graphics and the nostalgic atmosphere of the original game.
