A new era of high-speed repulsorcraft racing has officially arrived on PlayStation 5. Developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, Star Wars: Galactic Racer marks the debut title for the studio, which was founded by veteran racing developers and was first revealed at The Game Awards in 2025.
Galactic Racer is the franchise’s first stand-alone racing game since 2002’s Star Wars Racer Revenge. The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes, set against the backdrop of the New Republic Era. At the time of writing, the game has an 88 rating on Metacritic with 62 reviews.

How Star Wars: Galactic Racer puts a new spin on high-speed competition
In Galactic Racer, players take on the role of Shade, navigating their way through the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit. The main campaign uses roguelite level design, offering plenty of replayability with both arcade and scenario events.
It takes cues from other high-octane racing games by featuring aggressive enemy AI and includes several vehicle classes with unique abilities.
Unlike previous games, Galactic Racer also introduces the Skim speeders to players for the first time. Along with the landspeeders and speeder bikes, they offer players plenty of choice to choose their preferred method of racing.
The game is available in three editions:
- Star Wars: Galactic Racer Standard Edition ($59.99).
- Star Wars: Galactic Racer Deluxe Edition ($79.99) – includes deluxe livery, three exclusive vehicles, three exclusive arcade trials, deluxe player banner, digital art book.
- Star Wars: Galactic Racer Collector’s Edition ($159.99) – available only in retail stores.
Those who buy the standard edition on the PlayStation Store can upgrade to the deluxe edition for $19.99. The Collector’s Edition includes a code for the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, a Landspeeder model, pilot patches, a Kestar banner, a physical art book, a collector’s edition box with sleeve, a custom slip cover, and the Deluxe Edition steel case.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is out now for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
