Sony has announced a surprise Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC drop for the PS5, and it’ll be out sooner than you think. To celebrate Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s theatrical release on July 31, 2026, PS5 players will be treated to a themed cosmetic add-on.

Spider-Man 2’s “Fresh Start Suit” DLC will be available to PS5 players on July 28. The announcement doesn’t mention if PC will also get the DLC, but we’re assuming it will.
Sony also has to confirm whether the “Fresh Start Suit” DLC will be available for free.
Marvel’s Spider-Man continues to be one of Sony’s hottest properties with exclusive rights. Insomniac Games’ latest title is currently included in the PS Plus Extra catalog, but we’re not sure for how long.
Unfortunately, Spider-Man 2 isn’t currently on sale on the PS Store. When it is included in PS Store promotions, the game rarely gets more than a 50%-58% discount.
Unlike the original, Spider-Man 2 never received any story DLC. However, players can enjoy cosmetics via the digital deluxe edition or by grabbing the free Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack from the PS Store.
