Fans of the Splinter Cell franchise can now rejoice as Ubisoft has confirmed an HD remake trilogy for the PlayStation 3 in 2011. Much like the God of War Collection and the Sly Collection, Ubisoft is looking to further cash in on this re-release frenzy that has gamers looking to buy great games they may have missed the first time around.
Though Ubisoft has already released a Prince of Persia trilogy in the online store only, we’re hoping that the Splinter Cell HD remake comes packaged in stores so that we can purchase tangible content.
Ubisoft has yet to announce which titles from the franchise will be included in the mix, but it’s speculated that Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory are the obvious candidates.
With this confirmed, is there any other remake collections you’d like to see? Personally, I’m really hoping Square Enix settles down and puts out a Kingdom Hearts release.
That kingdom hearts idea would be awesome. I never played them and if i could play them in he with trophies that would be awesome.
I want a FF trilogy right there! That is X, X-2 and XII.
