In an expected move, Activision announced today yet another totally original component to its upcoming shooter title, Call of Duty: Black Ops, by confirming the addition of zombies. This isn’t the first time Treyarch has thrown zombies into its Call of Duty mix as World at War had the undead included as well. However, this fresh new take is that now you can kill zombies in the more present time than in the 1940s. Excited yet?
“Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops,” says Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. “We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.”
This adds onto the already myriad of game modes being made available in Black Ops, including a popular mode from Counter Strike as Bobby Kotick continues to show the industry how to elevate and make people appreciate your company. Obviously Activision isn’t interested in only milking franchises to the core, they’re also about including great elements to their titles that you can’t find anywhere else!
im guesing youre gona hawe to buy it as an add on
just like ewerything else with cod
When starting up zombie mode, you are asked to guess the amount of money in Bobby Koticks wallet. If guess correctly, you will have to pay that much to gain access to the game mode. If you are wrong, you pay double. The answer will always change due to however much money he is making.
You have to pay $15 for half of the zombie map. Once you get to a certain point, the game asks you if you would like to continue and to pay another $15. At that point, every zombie you fight will be another $1 will be charged and that money goes straight to Bobby Kotckcs pocket in a new system of travel that was thought of and invented by Activision called teleportation. You will also have to pay teleportation costs as well, and that money also goes to Bobby Kotick.
The harder levels require you to search for upgrades and secondary weapons. Those will also be charged individually. Perk upgrades cost $5 a piece and a secondary weapon will retail to however much the actual weapon costs in real life. i.e. an AK47 would cost you well over $100.
Once you die, you can activate a save point feature that will save your progress at where you last died. To activate the convenient feature, you will pay a certain amount of money depending on how many stages you have reached. i.e. Stage 45 will cost $45 to return to with a save point.
By the way, all of the zombie maps you are playing are all from the old game, no upgrades added whatsoever. Every map was linked together to create one giant super money making map, and each level/area will cost $15.
There are an infinite amount of stages and you cannot quit the game unless you pay a $400 service fee for using their servers. Note that the money does not go to better servers, but also to Bobby Koticks wallet.
Please enjoy the next installment of Call of Duty on release day, retailing at just $100! Make sure to stay tuned for our upcoming announcement to the sequel, releasing about a week after.
