What to expect from Sulfur on PS5?

Sulfur is a single-player action-adventure game that combines fast-paced FPS shooting with roguelike mechanics and role-playing elements. The developer describes it as Doom meets Diablo, set in a strange, darkly humorous world.

Players explore dangerous environments, battle bizarre enemies, collect loot, and discover weapons, attachments, and magical enchantments. Death can cost everything they brought along, so every piece of gear matters. Between expeditions, they can cook meals, manage their inventory, and prepare for upcoming encounters.

The full release includes more than 60 firearms and hundreds of lootable items. The game lets players experiment with an enormous variety of attachments, oils, and 54 distinct enchantments. The 1.0 release also completes the game’s core system and progression, performance improvements, and quality-of-life updates based on community feedback during Early Access. The developer also plans to introduce free post-launch content, including additional firearms, new content, and more.

Multiplayer is planned for a future update. The developer is also considering potential DLC for 2027 and beyond, depending on continued community support.

Sulfur is also available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
