When SoCom: Confrontation released, Sony bundled the game with its $50 PlayStation 3 bluetooth headset. While the design was great, the functionality was simple to understand and the device sounded solid, Sony felt the need to redesign the entire product anyways — perhaps due to a lack of sales.

However, this isn’t simply a redesign. Though this new one is quite “shiny” in terms of newness, it also rocks at a 30 per cent smaller size, and has noise cancellation as well as a High-Quality mode for a much more clearer sound.

Just like the original, this new bad boy is going to release at $50 and is expected at retail some time this month — so keep an eye out for it.
